In many cases, insurance companies won’t treat small windshield damage as a claim or may simply require you to pay a deductible. Some insurance companies offer a “glass only” policy. With newer car windshield replacements and camera recalibration, costs can exceed $1,500! It may be worth adding a “glass only” policy to your existing comprehensive policy.
